Lancaster Will Player Home Opener May 4
The Lancaster Barnstormers will open their 14th season of Atlantic League play on the road against the archrival York Revolution on Thursday, April 26, it was announced today as the league has released the schedule for the upcoming season.
Eight days later, on May 4, the Barnstormers will kick off the home schedule against the defending Atlantic League champion Revs.
Fans will be able to enjoy two more home games in 2018, as the Barnstormers will play a total of 72 games on their own turf. There will be 126 games on the overall schedule, with the first rendition of the Road Warriors since 2011 replacing Bridgeport on the slate of teams. Lancaster’s 2018 regular season will end against the Road Warriors club on September 16.
With the revised scheduling, the Barnstormers gain an extra home weekend, getting 12 Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays at Clipper Magazine Stadium for the year. Lancaster will also be home over the Fourth of July week with games against the Road Warriors on the 3rd, 4th, and 5th, the final three games in the first half of the split season schedule.
During the months of May through August, the Barnstormers will be home for 15 thru 17 games each month with nine additional home dates in the month of September as the season concludes.
Game times will be announced at a later date.
